Privacy for the
Overview workflow.
Plain English. Effective Jan 1, 2026. This covers accounts, watchlists, dashboard preferences, API usage, billing, journal content, and support messages.
1. Information we collect
We collect the information needed to create your account, operate the dashboard, manage subscriptions, and provide API access. This may include your name, email address, hashed password, selected plan, subscription status, Stripe customer/subscription IDs, registration date, IP address, and administrative account state.
If you use product features such as the Overview, watchlists, Morning Brief, Trade Ideas, Trade Journal, API Console, alerts, UOA, or billing, we may store related symbols, strategy details, notes, API key status, usage limits, dashboard preferences, and feature state needed to run those workflows.
2. Passwords, API keys, and account security
Passwords are stored as hashes, never as plaintext. API keys are only shown when generated or regenerated; after that, we store a hash so we can authenticate requests without keeping the original key in readable form.
3. API usage logs
For public API access, we log request activity such as user ID, endpoint, method, status code, response time, request time, and IP address. We use this to enforce plan limits, protect the service from abuse, troubleshoot issues, and show usage analytics in your API Console.
4. Payment information
Payment is processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing metadata such as customer ID, subscription ID, plan, subscription status, renewal/trial dates, card brand, last 4 digits, and country. We do not store full card numbers or CVCs.
5. Contact forms and email
If you contact us through the website, we collect your name, email address, topic, message, and technical details such as IP address so we can respond and prevent abuse. Transactional emails may be sent for registration, checkout, billing, trial, cancellation, alerts, and support flows.
6. How we use your data
- To authenticate users and protect accounts.
- To provide dashboard, Trade Ideas, Trade Journal, watchlist, and API features.
- To enforce plan permissions, API rate limits, trials, subscriptions, and billing status.
- To send transactional emails and alerts you request.
- To monitor uptime, latency, errors, abuse, and service reliability.
7. Cookies & tracking
We use session cookies for login and security, and local storage to remember cookie consent and interface preferences. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioral ad tracking, Google Analytics, or Facebook pixel. The site may load infrastructure assets such as web fonts from third-party domains.
8. Backups and retention
Operational databases and market-data stores may be backed up to Cloudflare R2 or equivalent infrastructure. Account data is kept while your subscription is active or as needed to provide the service. After cancellation or deletion request, we delete or anonymize non-required account data within a reasonable period, except where retention is needed for billing, security, backups, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or dispute resolution.
9. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run OptionChainIQ, when required by law, to protect the service, or with your direction.
10. Your rights
Email [email protected] to request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account data. We aim to respond within 7 days.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. If we make material changes, we will update this page and, when appropriate, notify users by email or in-app notice.
