Terms for using
market context responsibly.

1. The service

OptionChainIQ provides an options market Overview, watchlists, Morning Brief, Trade Ideas, volatility analytics, IV regime views, unusual activity, scanners, trade journaling tools, alerts, and public API access for eligible plans. The service is designed for market research, workflow support, and data access.

We are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, financial planner, exchange, custodian, or execution venue. We do not place trades for you, manage money, or provide personalized financial advice.

2. Trading and investment risk

Options trading is risky and can result in partial or total loss of capital. Strategies shown in the product, including spreads, iron condors, butterflies, calendars, or other risk-defined structures, are educational and analytical outputs only. You are responsible for reviewing all order details, prices, expirations, strikes, commissions, liquidity, assignment risk, tax impact, and suitability before trading.

Nothing in OptionChainIQ is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or avoid any security or derivative. Past data, signals, probability estimates, implied volatility metrics, or model outputs do not guarantee future results.

3. Plans, subscriptions, and billing

• Starter. Starter includes dashboard access and Trade Ideas, but does not include public API keys or advanced Pro-only workspaces.
• Pro. Pro includes advanced dashboard features, public API access, API key management, usage analytics, Trade Journal, alerts, UOA workspace, and other Pro features shown on the pricing page.
• Trial. Pro includes a 3-day free trial. You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first Pro charge. Starter does not include a free trial.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Cancellation. Cancel any time from the Manage plan page in the dashboard. You retain access until the end of the current billing period.
• Plan changes. Upgrades may take effect immediately. Downgrades usually take effect at the next renewal unless otherwise stated during checkout or in Stripe.
• Refunds. Fees are generally non-refundable and not prorated for partial months, but we may review hardship or billing-error cases. Email [email protected].
• Founding pricing. Founding prices may be limited to early subscribers and may not be available forever. The price shown at checkout controls your subscription price.

4. Payment processing

Payments, trials, invoices, card updates, and subscription changes are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe and OptionChainIQ to charge your selected payment method according to your plan. We do not store full card numbers or CVCs.

5. API access and usage limits

Public API access is available only to plans with API privileges. API keys are personal to your account and must be kept server-side. Do not expose API keys in browser JavaScript, mobile apps, public repositories, shared notebooks, screenshots, or client-side logs.

We may enforce rate limits, monthly quotas, endpoint restrictions, or temporary suspensions to protect reliability. We may rotate, revoke, or disable API keys if we detect abuse, compromise, excessive load, unpaid subscription status, or prohibited use.

6. Market data and data rights

OptionChainIQ stores and transforms market data from third-party sources and internal capture processes. Market data may be delayed, incomplete, adjusted, unavailable, or wrong. We do not guarantee that any quote, option chain, greek, implied volatility value, historical volatility value, signal, scanner result, or calculated metric is accurate or suitable for trading.

You may use the dashboard and API for your own trading research, internal tools, scripts, scanners, models, or personal workflows. Unless we give written permission, you may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, publish, bulk export, mirror, or operate a competing market data service using OptionChainIQ data.

7. Acceptable use

• Do not share accounts, passwords, sessions, or API keys.
• Do not bypass plan limits, rate limits, authentication, billing controls, or access restrictions.
• Do not scrape, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, attack, or attempt unauthorized access to the service.
• Do not use the service for illegal activity, spam, fraud, market manipulation, or abusive automation.
• Do not remove attribution, misrepresent our data as your own feed, or use the service in a way that violates third-party data rights.

8. User content

You are responsible for content you enter into the service, including watchlists, journal notes, symbols, strategy details, alerts, and support/contact messages. You grant us permission to store, process, display, and back up that content as needed to provide the service.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep OptionChainIQ reliable, but the service may be unavailable during maintenance, provider outages, market-data interruptions, infrastructure issues, rate-limit events, or software updates. Features, endpoints, plans, datasets, and prices may change as the product evolves.

10. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted access, or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OptionChainIQ will not be liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost data, market losses, missed opportunities, indirect damages, special damages, consequential damages, or losses caused by inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable data.

Our maximum liability to you for any claim in any 12-month period is the amount you paid to OptionChainIQ during that same period.

12. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create security risk, abuse the API, fail to pay, misuse market data, or use the service in a way that harms OptionChainIQ, other users, or providers. You may stop using the service at any time and cancel through the billing portal.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us about privacy requests. By using the service, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be posted on this page and, when appropriate, communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
